20 Wishes - May Progress

Last week we finished up May and that means I should be sharing my progress.... Time has once again gotten away from me. This past month has been one of the longest months of my life as every new day is a new day without my mom in it.

I'm doing my best to keep looking forward, and keeping myself busy so I don't run myself into the ground.  And while May was a really busy month (and productive too) it just wasn't productive in the way of my 20 wishes list.  You can check out Feb, March and April, and now, here is May:

  1. Decorate our master bedroom

  2. Save blog money to put towards a blog conference

  3. Make my own skirt

  4. Go huckleberry picking

  5. Host a dinner party

  6. Learn to identify 10 constellations

  7. Make a perfect cheesecake

  8. Finish Summer’s quilt

  9. Spend an afternoon reading in the park

  10. Improve my posture

  11. Try out Stitch Fix

  12. Start donating blood again

  13. Go on a double date

  14. Take a class (cooking/sewing/dance)

  15. Massively de-clutter my house

  16. Don’t spend any money for a week

  17. Send flowers to someone

  18. Put change in someone’s expired parking meter

  19. Get a “little black dress”

  20. Get to my ideal weight
Nothing actually got crossed off, again.

But this is what I did do:

Last month I mentioned that we were getting ready to start on the last bedroom in the basement. My father in law was in town to help us and while it didn't get finished they got a lot done before he had to head back home. They had to frame in the room, add additional outlets, changed the lighting fixtures, built in a closet, and put in insulation. Plus a few little random things! Then they sheet rocked the closet and the duct work before they called it quits. Not to mention a few other jobs around the house got completed, so I'm not complaining. Now we just need to get the rest of the room sheet rocked and we'll bring someone in to mud then we can paint and get it finished up. I am really looking forward to seeing how Tyler's new room looks because I have a pretty fun vision for it!

#2. I've been setting money aside and then decided that half of it was going to be put towards a new computer first. If you saw my setup I have going on right now, you'd laugh.  Actually, see if for yourself.

I have my computer set up on my kitchen island (where it stays all the time because the battery is dead and it has to stay plugged in) and it's sitting on a stack of cd's because it's so old (about 8 years) and overheats.Time for a new computer, yes?  But money is still being saved for a blog conference too.

#6. Still working on my constellations. I think I know 6, and can point them out in the sky.

#20. Still working on my weight loss and did pretty good in May.

I also have a few little projects that I have been working on over the last week/weekend that I'll be sharing soon. So if you like before and afters you won't want to miss this! So that is about it!
