When in doubt, work it out {Weight Loss}

Weight is no joke.

It is one of those things that is always in the back of my mind. I might try to act like I don't care. And I certainly don't talk about it around my daughter. I know that our world already puts too much emphasis on it, and she will be fully aware of it in no time. I don't need to bring it to her attention any sooner!

But I am at my highest weight I have ever been, not pregnant. And that is NOT OKAY with me.

My clothes are too tight and make me feel uncomfortable, I know I am not the only one trying to squeeze into tight jeans because I don't want to buy a bigger size!

Recently, we had a chilly day- fall is definitely in the air. I reached for a pair of jeans, which I haven't worn since last spring and they didn't button. That is such a terrible feeling. I knew I had gained weight over the summer but this certainly didn't help. I grabbed another pair of jeans, in the next size up and they buttoned but were so uncomfortably tight that I took them off and just wore shorts.

Last month you might have seen THIS post about Staying Motivated during your Fitness Journey. I know it is hard, and that depending on how much weight you want to lose, it might even be a long journey ahead of you. But I am here to tell you that if you stick to a plan you can do it!

Make your goals, set a schedule, find a meal plan that works for you and then DO IT!

After checking out alli® weight loss aid at Walgreens, I decided that I wanted to give it a try. It is not for everyone, so make sure you qualify and follow the instructions for use.*

  • Overweight adults (BMI > 25) who are 18 years or older.

  • alli® weight loss aid should be used along with a reduced-calorie and low fat diet.

  • Cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • In studies, most people lost 5-10 pounds over a 6 month period. (Your results may vary)

alli® weight loss aid is the only FDA approved over-the-counter weight loss aid on the market. It works by blocking 25% of the fat you eat from being absorbed by your body*.

In the past I have made weight loss goals, and ultimately, those have not changed. What I was looking to do was make a meal plan and schedule that worked for me. School was getting ready to start and our busy schedule was about to be back in full force. I needed to make this work around the time I had available to work out. Consult your doctor before starting any diet or exercise program.

I also made a meal plan that I could prepare ahead of time for days that I might be out and about. With kid drop offs and pick ups I don't want to be tempted to grab something because it is quick and easy! If you are interested in what a meal plan looks like for me, you are welcome to join my Facebook group where I share lots of things like my meal plans, workout challenges, water challenges, etc.

When in doubt, Work it out!

So, in the last 6 weeks I am down 6 pounds! I am pretty happy with that, and it is a great start. Going forward into the holiday season makes it tough, but know that you can do it if you prepare yourself and put yourself on the right path!

So what are you waiting for?
