Weigh in Wednesday: The plan

I'm about to bare all.
Because weight loss isn't easy and I want to be held accountable.

And I really hope I don't regret it.

When I was pregnant with Zachary I started at 160, delivered at 225- gaining 65 total.
I lost 59 pounds in one week because I was full of water,
but ended up getting down to 144 at one point.
After that I just went up hill.

When I found out I was pregnant with Tyler I was 190 and I gained 24.
I lost all of my pregnancy weight and then some, getting down to 179,
the thinnest I had been in several years,
but then I went back up.

At my very first Dr. appt when pregnant with Summer, I was 200.4
And yesterday, at my 6 week checkup, I was 200.2
While it's still a big number,
I tried to focus more on the fact that I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight,
and that felt great!

So now, I am starting this journey out at 200 pounds
My final goal is 138 pounds.

62 pounds is doable!

I am 5'4" and a healthy weight for me is between 114 and 151
When I was at my thinnest after having Zachary, I was 144 pounds.
That put me in a size 7 or 9, depending on the pants,
and I was really happy with how I looked and felt.

I know it's going to be hard,
but I can do it!
I know this is going to take some time,
but I really think it's doable!

I plan to make small goals to get me there.
And what better timing that "Resolutions in Motion" has been formed!

For my first goal I said I want to lose 5 pounds by eating better, starting an exercise routine
and stop drinking soda.
(I really love me some coke-a-cola!)

5 pounds might not seem like a lot, but considering I am breastfeeding,
I really want to be smart about this and make sure Summer is still getting what she needs,
and well as me getting what I need.

So there it is. My story and my first goal.

  1. I know the weight battle so well. I have a lot to lose but since my last pregnancy less than a year ago I'm having a hard time starting anything other than eating everything in sight. It's really bad. Good luck to you, can't wait to hear progress reports. :)
