By now I think it is safe to say, if you have been hanging around my blog for any time at all, that I love to save a buck. If I can make it for cheaper, I do. If I can buy it at all yard sale and refurbish it, I will. My husband even said to me one time, "Why do you paint everything?" Because I like to make old things look new, that is why!

But another reason I work hard on saving a buck here or there is because I love having the extra money to take my kids to movies, or out for a dessert. It's fun to be able to do things like going to the pool on these long, hot Summer days and the reason I get to do things like this is because I look for ways to save money in other areas.

One area I love saving on is my cell phone! I'll admit that like a lot of people I used to pay 100 plus dollars each month on my phone bill. But after checking out Walmart Family Mobile I realized that I don't need to spend a fortune on my phone bill each month to get great service along with the apps, great camera, and data that I need to get stuff done. Walmart has the Lowest Priced Unlimited Plans starting at $29.88/month (for the first line) Unlimited Talk, Text & Data service plan which includes up to 1G of 4G LTE data.

So I recently headed to Walmart to pick up a new phone and I got the LG Leon. It is a little smaller than my last phone, which is nice because when I am headed out and about with the kids it is nice to be able to tuck my phone away in my pocket so I have easy access for then they start being cute and I want to take pictures!

Yesterday we headed off to the splash pad with our friends and I had my camera ready for when they were running through the different sprinklers.

I don't mess around with friend time. This gal happens to not only be the blogger behind Our Funny Little Family, but she is one of my best friends. I love the time that me and my kids get to spend with her and her girls. These pictures above are how we spend our summers. And if that means that I save a little here or there on the unnecessary things then you can bet I'll be doing it! And with temps like these for the 4th of July::::
