Gifting Yankee Candle to the Car Lover in your life

Christmas is right around the corner, my friends! Who is ready?

I very rarely get my shopping done early but this year the kids had pretty quick and to the point ideas on what they were hoping to find under the Christmas tree come December 25th. That makes it nice and easy to shop for them. Especially since I an get most of it done from the comfort of my own home and without little eyes watching me. After Summer shopped with me for Tyler's birthday and then told him most of the things he was getting, I didn't want a repeat so online shopping was mainly where it was at this year!

But one person that I always struggle to buy for is my husband. Ladies, I'm sure you can relate to this, yes? If not your spouse, then maybe it is your dad? Or brother? No matter who it is I have a awesome solution to make shopping for the guy in your life quick and easy.

YankeeCandle

Travis is the kind of guy that if he needs something, he goes and gets it. So when holidays come around I am always struggling to get him something fun, that he isn't going to expect. But I'll admit that we've had our share of duds. Like for Father's Day when we bought him golf clubs, which I was so excited about. But he has never golfed before and still hasn't....

So why make this hard on yourself? Instead, gift Yankee Candle® to the car lover in your life! Travis got a new truck not too long ago and so the timing couldn't have been better.

I headed to my local Walmart to grab a few items to make the perfect car themed gift basket.  Starting with the Yankee Candle® brand fragrances.

Yankee

I love Yankee Candle® and have been using the Car Jar fragrances in my car for years. Clean Cotton all the way! You might even find a few clean cotton candles through out my house because I love the fresh clean linen freshness that it gives off! And they are not only perfect for the car, but other small spaces like linen closets!

This time, since I was buying for my husband after all, I decided to buy the Macintosh Apple because I knew he would like to have the change and I'll probably steal the clean cotton from him anyway. And they were easy to find in the Air Care aisle of your local Walmart.

I also grabbed a few other necessities. A bucket, wash and scrub sponge, rags, tire shine, cleaner, window scraper, wet ones and tissues. I even added in a fun little Hula doll!

So now I have a fun, easy and inexpensive gift for not only my husband but any car lover out there.

Now I have shared my ideas for the hard to buy for shopper in my life, What do you get the hard to buy for shopper in yours?

Swagger Wagon.... the inside

I finally took some pictures of the inside of my Swagger Wagon!

I am LOVING this van!

I really rebelled against having a van when I was a bit younger.
But after a trip we took right after Tyler was born,
where we couldn't even see out the back window
because the cargo area was that packed full,
I think we knew we were going to have to get another vehicle sooner than later!

Then, once I got pregnant, the race was on to get a new car
that fit our growing family.

I am sooo glad we chose the Toyota Sienna!
I'm sure other vans are fine too,
but getting the Toyota name, which seems to last forever,
is refreshing when "my everything" is in tow!

One of my favorite features is the stow n go seats.
I didn't take a picture of this, but the third row folds down completely flat
which is so great! Or we can fold just a part of it!
So when we go to see Trav's dad, we can take the dog.
We can keep up the seat for Zach, and put Jada's crate right next to him,
plus have tons of room still for luggage!

Another thing is this van has 13 cup holders!
Who needs that many!?! That is almost 2 for each person,
IF we have a packed house!  Good to know
in case we have several drinks at a time!

For now, Zachary is sitting in the 2nd row but will be
moving to the 3rd row once the baby is here.
And at that point I will move Tyler to forward facing so Zach
can get out that passenger side door.

Lastly, if you've never seen this video..... WATCH IT NOW!
Soooo funny!

Mama's got a new ride!

That's right!
I was less than a week without a car of my own!

Last week we found a car that we liked
but it was out of town.
We saw a lot of pictures but finally decided we needed to see and drive it
to know if we could get it!

We knew we were going to get a Toyota Sienna
and we knew we were going to get one with AWD.

The one thing I really wanted was a sunroof-
that was one of my favorite parts of my Vibe.

Anyway, this one fit our criteria
so off we went on a little road trip!

And we just got home this evening
and look what is in my garage tonight!!!

It's my Toyota Sienna!

I am really excited! Especially because for a long time I was anti mini van!
But now that number 3 is on their way we had to do something!
After a lot of research we decided that a van was really the way to go.

We needed something with the captains seats in the second row
and this was in our price range!

I loved driving it home today and the boys looked pretty good in it too!
And I love all the space inside!

Hopefully tomorrow I can get some more pictures of the inside!

On a side note, you cannot make the road trip we did without stopping here!
Travis has never been to Multnomah Falls so of course we had to stop!
I don't drive past here without stopping!

Love that the belly made their first trip to Multnomah too!
And I love these boys!

I also got to see my sister and her family
and I don't see them nearly enough.
But unfortunately I didn't take any pictures!

100 day picture challenge. Day 53

Day 53. A picture of you in a car

Well, today's challenge was a perfect challenge for this particular day!
It was actually a pretty bitter sweet day.

I sold my car!

We decided that with our growing family it was time to sell my car and get a bigger one.
We had sold Travis' little truck last week after it was listed for only a day or two,
so we thought we'd put my car on craigslist and see if we could sell it.
Then we'd have one less thing to worry about when looking for another vehicle!

Well, less than a week after listing it, I am no longer the owner
of a 2006 Pontiac Vibe.
It's a sad day!
I get it, it's only a car...
But I loved it, and it was great for me and my family
and I always felt safe in it!

But I am happy for what it means for our family!
And I am excited to see what we find to drive!
